Lucky Star Maui Taylor was named the celebrity player for the August 30 episode of “Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal” after the Lucky Wheel stopped at her assigned briefcase, number two.
In a nostalgic introductory video, Maui looked back on her time with Viva Hot Babes, one of the notable groups of the 2000s, known for OPM hits such as “Bulaklak” and “Basketbol.” From playing sweet characters on screen to eventually taking on mature roles, Maui continues to prove that her feisty persona extends beyond the screen and into real life. She now juggles a busy life as a mother of two boys, a content creator, and a businesswoman.
Back in 2015, the actress had already experienced the thrill of playing “Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal,” where she played it smart by accepting the ₱141,000 offer from the Banker.
Sensing Maui’s nervousness, Luis asked her to introduce her two sons, Antoine and Matteo, who happened to be in the studio. Proud of raising two young, handsome boys, Maui couldn’t help but tell Luis how her children have brought good fortune into her life. Antoine and Matteo both wished their mother luck as she tried to take home the game show’s elusive ₱1 million jackpot prize.
With that goal in mind, the celebrity player ultimately decided to swap her original briefcase for Crisha Uy’s briefcase number 11. However, she later regretted the decision after discovering that the briefcase she had given up contained ₱500,000.
