The August 16 episode of “Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal” brought fiesta-like vibes throughout the evening as beloved comedian Pepay Aguilar was selected as the celebrity player of the night after the Lucky Wheel landed on his assigned briefcase, number 16.
From working as a shoe salesman at a mall, Pepay shared in his fun-filled introduction video how he eventually became a frequent performer at Vice Comedy Club while also serving as a judge at beauty pageants on the side. His loud and entertaining personality seemed to invite luck into his life, as he eventually fulfilled his dream of having his own house built.
As he reflected on his plans for the game show’s coveted ₱1 million jackpot, Pepay expressed his desire to donate a portion of his winnings to help individuals who have been abandoned by their families. Meanwhile, he planned to use the rest of the money for a trip to the Maldives with seasoned entertainer Negi.
Choosing to test his luck with another briefcase, Pepay ultimately swapped his original briefcase for actor-host Emilio Daez’s briefcase number 3, explaining that three has always been his favorite number.
Pepay later revealed that his brother is also gay, as he recalled how their father used to beat them when they were children.
Despite eliminating the ₱500,000 briefcase early in the game, Pepay’s opening round still yielded promising results after he successfully kept ₱10, ₱400, ₱5,000, and ₱10,000 on the money board. As a result, the Banker made him a generous initial offer of ₱51,000, which he confidently rejected.
