With superheroes serving as the central theme for the night, “Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal” host Luis Manzano interviewed select Lucky Stars about the superpowers they wished they possessed.
Sporting a casual look, a departure from his usual coat-and-tie outfit, renowned sportscaster Migs Bustos told Luis that he would choose X-ray vision as his special ability, allowing him to easily spot which briefcase contained the ₱1 million jackpot. Migs’ answer prompted Luis to jokingly “accuse” him of “cheating” his way through the chance-based game.
Turning to the next Lucky Star, veteran comedian Long Mejia said he wished he could turn invisible after getting tired of being photographed while acting intimate with women on dates. Long’s confession prompted the Pambansang Host to bring up a sweet moment between him and content creator Crisha Uy.
After admitting that it was her first time asking a man out on a date, Crisha explained her side of the story: “Hindi ko na matiis eh. Ang gwapo niya eh, [kaya] in-invite ko na.”
Moving on from the fun-filled interaction, the Lucky Wheel eventually landed on number 19, selecting Migs as the celebrity player for the game show’s August 22 episode.
He shared in his introduction video that he used to coach elementary and high school basketball teams, which eventually led to his broadcasting stint with ABS-CBN Sports and Action. After working as a host alongside Niña Corpuz at DZMM, Migs also partnered with prominent journalist Karen Davila on the show “May Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” while hosting the “Uso at Bago” segment on TV Patrol.
Outside of his career, Migs actively participates in long-distance marathons and occasionally joins HYROX fitness competitions in his free time. He also shared that he founded a social enterprise called “The Run Collective,” through which he aims to support new runners and underserved young athletes.
