Knowing that she will surely die if she stays hidden beside her car, which she uses as cover, Sam (Julia Montes) musters the courage to fight back, repeatedly firing at Lucas (Ronwaldo Martin) and his henchmen as she makes a desperate escape.
The enemies attempt to go after her but lose sight of her, only to spot her again in a dimly lit alley and resume the chase. With nowhere else to run, Sam makes a split-second decision to jump off a bridge and plunge into the river below despite her left arm being wounded.
Lucas and his group see her leap, so he commands them to riddle the river with bullets to make sure that she's dead. But unbeknownst to them, Sam has managed to quickly swim to the opposite bank and remains underwater until she is certain the enemies have left before finally surfacing.
