As soon as he accepts his new mission from Anino and seals the deal by signing a contract with his own blood, Gabo (Coco Martin) immediately begins preparing for the mission.
Since his assignment may require him to attend social events, Gabo is asked to try on a special suit that will give him a formal appearance. Custom-made in Europe, Omeng (Dindo Arroyo) discloses that the extraordinary tuxedo is made from an exceptional fabric called "dragon's cape" because it's as durable as dragon skin and can actually protect him from fire and even bullets.
They also brought him to the armory to show him their collection of firearms and allowed him to choose a weapon he would want to use for his mission. He initially picks up a lightweight, semi-automatic firearm with a polymer frame, then went on to choose another one.
Aside from learning proper gun handling and honing his target-shooting skills, members of Anino also has Gabo practice driving and drifting, along with other exercises that put his physical strength and agility to the test as part of his intensive training.
Once the training is over, Tomas (Levi Ignacio) reminds him, “Ngayong nakahawak ka na ng baril, alam mo ang responsibilidad. Tanging sa mga kalaban mo lang gagamitin ito.”
Paps (Joonee Gamboa) adds, “Ang baril, mabuting kaibigan 'yan, pero masamang kalaban. Nasa iyo ang desisyon kung gagawing kalaban o hindi.”
“Ang tagal kong iniwasang humawak ng baril. Pero pinapangako ko sa inyo, gagamitin ko ito sa kabutihan,” Gabo promises.
