In his selfless and benevolent pursuit of helping his newfound friend Potchoy (Jaze Capili) and his family cover the hospital bills of his mother, Linda (Lizel Marquez), who was shot by one of the thieves who attempted to rob them, Gabo (Coco Martin) seeks the help of Paps (Joonee Gamboa) by asking him for a new job.
Although Paps and his henchmen convey hesitation about entrusting Gabo with the only mission available, given their concerns about his readiness and how dangerous it could be, Gabo remains willing to accept it because he is in dire need of money. Nonetheless, the members of Anino assure him that they have his back by providing everything he will need, while also warning him that he must be extra careful because they will not back him up if things go downhill.
Unlike his previous missions, Gabo will be rewarded with P1 million once he accomplishes the mission, leading him to assume that his life could be at stake. Paps may have given him time to think about it, since the mission requires someone who has firm convictions, but Gabo doesn't need to do so since he is already resolved to take it regardless of what's going to be.
"Kailangan ko ng trabaho kaya ako nagpunta rito," he declares. "Pero hindi ko lang ito gagawin para sa sarili ko at sa pamilya ko. Gagawin ko ito para sa lahat ng mga Pilipino. Kinakailangan na nating masugpo lahat ng masasamang tao. Kinakailangan na nating linisin ang lipunan at ayusin ang buong Pilipinas."
Following his speech, Paps hands him the contract. But instead of signing it with ink, Gabo uses his own blood, demonstrating his unwavering commitment and loyalty to them. As Gabo vows that he will not fail them, Paps asks Lawin (Paolo Rodriguez) and Uwak (Jojit Lorenzo) to prepare everything he will need for the mission.
