Just as Gabo (Coco Martin) and Potchoy (Jaze Capili) wait for Linda (Lizel Marquez) to undergo surgery for the gunshot wounds she sustained during the robbery, one of Potchoy’s relatives unexpectedly arrives at the hospital—his Tita Mercy (Darelle Tiu), the sister of his father.
As soon as they see each other in the lobby, Potchoy and Mercy share an emotional embrace. Mercy comforts her weeping nephew, assuring him that nothing bad will happen to his mother. When Gabo introduces himself to her as the one who brought Linda to the hospital after she was shot by the five thieves who attacked and robbed her and her son, Mercy sincerely thanks him for coming to their aid.
She then calls her brother, who was revealed to be an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), to inform him about what happened to his wife and son. Unfortunately, Mercy relays to Potchoy that his father will not be able to send money for his mother’s medical expenses because he has already taken a salary advance from his employer to pay for his school tuition fees. Upon hearing this, Gabo pledges to help them find a way to cover the cost of Linda's surgery, leaving Mercy deeply moved by his generosity.
Mercy tearfully thanks Gabo for his willingness to help despite having no personal connection to their family. Gabo then reiterates his promise to help them, making Potchoy even more emotional and grateful for his kindness.
