In his continued efforts to win over Sam (Julia Montes), Seb (JC De Vera) once again tries to impress her by assuring her that he’ll help her through the troubles she’s facing over the Internal Affairs investigation. As NCIA’s top agent, he tells her team that he is confident Director Fernando Delgado (Soliman Cruz) will grant his request to help Sam get out of this predicament.
However, Sam declines his help, telling him that she can already handle the situation herself and that he no longer needs to intervene. Seb brushes her off, insisting that he needs to be hands-on with everything his “almost-girlfriend” is going through. In fact, he volunteers to oversee Mr. Chan’s (Mike Castillo) transfer, only to be turned down by Dir. Delgado. Nonetheless, Sam and her team have nothing to worry about, as this could give the Internal Affairs team a chance to realize that she is the only one who can resolve their problem involving the gold-smuggling ring.
Seb's revelation prompts Sam to speak with Dir. Delgado in his office, telling him that they need to build a stronger case against Victor "Tigre" Zafra (JM de Guzman) after being visited by his family. She firmly believes that the Zafras will use their influence, resources, and connections to ensure that their scion is acquitted. Dir. Delgado assures Sam that he will neither allow the Zafras to prevail over the law nor let Victor escape accountability for everything he has done. For now, he wants her to let them handle the case while she focuses on her own.
After being teased by fellow agent Karen (Via Antonio) about Seb as soon as he steps out of Dir. Delgado's office, Sam is approached by her persistent admirer. Seb asks her if they can finally drop the "almost" in their label, to which Sam retorts that they don't have any label yet in the first place. As Sam tells him not to add to the problems she is already dealing with, Seb vows to take
all of her burdens off her shoulders, if only she’ll choose him and confirm that they're already an item.
He reminds her that she has already introduced him to her family the night before, which he believes makes them a legitimate couple. As he moves in to caress her, Sam stops him and tells him that she'll respond to his questions the following day, then requests him to give her some peace and quiet that day. Still hopeful, Seb can barely contain his excitement over what might happen next.
The lighthearted moment is instantly ruined by Pia (Katherine Luna), who ridicules Sam about her looming meeting with the internal affairs team of NCIA.
