Once he's done with the orientation and the training, Paps (Joonee Gamboa) tells Gabo (Coco Martin) they will just call him once the next mission arrives. Despite feeling embarrassed, Gabo musters the courage to ask Paps if he can borrow money from him—at least P100,000.
Lawin (Jojit Lorenzo) and Uwak (Paolo Rodrigruez) take swipes at him, mocking him for asking for an advance payment even though he hasn't even started his first mission yet. Gabo explains, however, that he plans to give the money to a mother and son he helped earlier that day after they were robbed on his way to Anino's hideout. He brought the mother, who had been shot by one of the robbers, to the hospital, as he felt sorry for her young son and didn't want the boy to suffer the same fate he did after losing his own mother at a young age.
Paps tells Gabo that his heart is truly his greatest strength, to which Omeng (Dindo Arroyo) agrees with. However, Omeng also warns that it could become Gabo's weakness, as his enemies may use it against him. Tomas (Levi Ignacio), meanwhile, defends Gabo, saying that his compassion is not a weakness because Filipinos have no one to rely on but their fellow Filipinos.
Paps then stands up and gestures for Omeng to take an envelope containing money from the small chest sitting on his desk. Upon receiving it, Gabo thanks Paps and promises to give the money to the mother and son. Before Gabo leaves, Paps delightfully tells him, "Sige, Gabo. Tulungan mo 'yong mag-ina. Ayusin mo kung ano ang dapat ayusin."
