Fate of colors is once again on a roll! Pambansang Host Luis Manzano and Ka-Rumble Negi bring energy to a festive rally in the February 21 episode of “Rainbow Rumble.”
Before hitting the cinemas this coming March 4, the cast of the historical film “Sisa” took a break from thriller-drama scenes to join the colorful match. Our set of rumblers included Eugene Domingo, Barbara Miguel, Angellie Sanoy, Jorrybell Agoto, and Nico Antonio, who showed off their competitive side in the game.
When the “Rally to the Top” began, three of the rumblers emerged as frontrunners: Eugene and Barbara, who were granted ‘Atras Powers,’ and Nico, who proved to be the dark horse of the game. But the thrill didn’t stop there, Jorrybell eventually closed in on the three, almost reaching the top.
In the end, despite an ‘Atras Power’ used against him, Nico won the level and advanced to the jackpot round. He also earned a free color advantage for the first DRM after answering three questions during Rapid Rumble, though he fell short of clinching the jackpot prize.
Later on, the Rumblers expressed their reflections after the game. Despite not being able to answer at least one question during ‘Rally to the Top,’ Angellie Sanoy joined for the experience, stating, “Sobrang saya pa rin naman.” Meanwhile, Jorrybell Agoto, who managed to answer a few questions before the round ended, looked back on her performance, “Akala ko uuwi akong luhaan pero napagbigyan pa rin ako.” She added that Nico truly deserved his win.
“Talagang nag-enjoy lang ako,” remarked Eugene Domingo, sharing that she missed being in the same place as Luis Manzano and appearing in an ABS-CBN show, as the last time she experienced it was back in 2025 when she served as a judge in “Pilipinas Got Talent.” Eugene added, “I really just enjoyed it because it's a great opportunity for us to promote ‘Sisa.’”
For Barbara Miguel, despite being close to the jackpot round, luck seemed to favor Nico. “Masaya ako na after ng ilang tries, nakuha din niya.” Though she admitted to being competitive, she emphasized practicing sportsmanship.
In “Rally to the Top,” players needed to swipe the sensor down to earn the chance to answer, and this proved most challenging for Eugene and Angellie. The latter admitted that although she was familiar with the questions, the swiping motion was what gave her the hardest time. Eugene echoed the same thought, noting how quick one must be to secure a response.
Jorrybell, on the other hand, managed to swipe faster than the others, but her main hurdle was getting mentally blocked whenever she had the opportunity to respond. “Nagha-hang na ‘yung utak ko. Pero nung mga nasa half na ng game, kailangan lang pala kalmado,” she said. Barbara experienced the same struggle, quipping that even if you already know the answer, the tension of the game might make you forget it instantly.
Reflecting on what they gained from playing “Rainbow Rumble,” most of them emphasized the importance of being swift. Eugene added that staying calm is equally essential. Barbara pointed out that complacency could lead to a downfall, adding, “Mas lawakan ‘yung kaalaman.” Meanwhile, Jorrybell observed that the game might ultimately come down to luck for those who win or lose.
This week’s “Rally to the Top” winner, Nico Antonio, had the same reflection as Jorybell. “Kailangan talaga ng swerte sa buhay,” he quipped. In discussing his preparations before joining “Rainbow Rumble,” Nico admitted that he watched at least one episode to get a feel for the game. He added that he also did his best to calm his nerves so he could answer the questions correctly.
As for the highlight of his experience, Nico recalled how much he enjoyed seeing the other players score points as well. “Kasi the more the merrier. Mas nagiging competitive yung nature nung laro,” he remarked.
