“Rainbow Rumble” took us on a nostalgic trip as the alums of “Goin’ Bulilit” joined Pambansang Host Luis Manzano and Ka-Rambol Negi for the January 24 episode! The roster of Rumblers included Raikko Mateo, Bea Basa, Izzy Canillo, Brenna Garcia, and Clarence Delgado.
Before diving into the game, the Rumblers first reminisced about their fun experiences while filming “Goin’ Bulilit” as kids. They recalled fond memories---from running around the set to traveling out of town for shoots---with added playful banter with Negi that had everyone laughing.
When it came to “Rally to the Top,” Brenna and Clarence quickly emerged as frontrunners, while Bea and Izzy tried to catch up, and Raikko stayed in the last spot. In the end, Clarence earned his place in the jackpot round.
Later on, the Rumblers shared a few reflections after the game. Raikko Mateo admitted that he struggled with swiping fast enough to answer despite being familiar with the questions. Meanwhile, Brenna Garcia shared that she wanted Raikko to at least score a point. However, Clarence managed to secure the top spot. “Pero okay lang, kasi muntik naman makuha ni Clarence [‘yung jackpot prize],” Brenna added.
Izzy Canillo was genuinely happy for his close friend Clarence, who won “Rally to the Top.” He also fondly looked back on their shared memories from their “Goin’ Bulilit” days---a true testament to their lasting friendship. Meanwhile, Bea Basa revealed that she’s an avid fan of “Rainbow Rumble.” Although she admitted feeling disappointed about not winning the first round, she was still delighted to see Clarence win.
The Rumblers all admitted to facing the same struggle during the game---being the first to swipe and secure the chance to answer. Both Raikko and Brenna shared they had slower reflexes. Izzy also found it challenging to answer under pressure, sharing, “Nakaka-pressure po ‘pag nasa stage na.” Bea experienced the same thing, adding that listening closely to the question before answering is also important.
Despite the struggle while playing, the former Buliits had fun takeaways from their “Rainbow Rumble” experience. Brenna highlighted the importance of sportsmanship, saying, “Ang saya na lahat kami, kahit papaano, naka-step forward.” Raikko and Izzy were all smiles after the game, “Kahit ‘di ako umusad, nakangiti pa rin ako and no hard feelings.” Aside from enjoying the game, Bea reflected on what she gained “May natutunan akong ibang knowledge sa mga Q&A.”
Clarence Delgado, who clinched the win in “Rally to the Top,” reflected on the lessons he learned from the game. “’Yung mga questions, other terms na hindi ko alam. Aside from that is ‘yung value of knowledge na it will really give you an advantage when it comes to certain things like these,” he shared.
When asked how he prepared for “Rainbow Rumble,” Clarence revealed that he made sure to catch up on past episodes. “Binibinge-watch ko talaga each episode para aware ako sa mga questions,” he admitted.
Lastly, Clarence shared the moments he truly enjoyed while playing. He shared that the jackpot round was equally fun despite its intensity---especially since he came so close to clinching the 1-million peso prize. “Super enjoy ‘yung whole experience,” he added.
