MANILA – The PBA has postponed the games scheduled for November 9, Sunday, as the country anticipates the onslaught of Typhoon Uwan.
The league announced the development on its official social media accounts Saturday afternoon.
“In light of the incoming Super Typhoon Uwan, and with the safety of our fans, players, officials, and staff, the PBA has decided to POSTPONE its Sunday November 9 games,” it said.

The affected games are the TNT Tropang 5G vs. Magnolia Hotshots and the Barangay Ginebra vs. Titan Ultra Giant Risers, which were supposed to be played at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
“Please stand by for the updated schedule of games, which will be announced soon through our official channels,” the PBA said.
“The PBA urges everyone to take all necessary precautions and stay safe during the typhoon,” it added.
State weather bureau PAGASA said Uwan is expected to intensify up to super typhoon strength by late Saturday or early Sunday.
According to PAGASA’s latest weather bulletin, Uwan has rapidly intensified in the last 24 hours over the Philippine Sea, east of Eastern Visayas.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 has been raised over several areas in Luzon and Visayas due to Uwan.
