Walang Pasok: Class suspensions on Nov. 10 and 11 due to 'Uwan'

Some local government units have announced class suspensions for November 10 and 11 (Monday and Tuesday) due to Severe Tropical Storm Fung-wong.

MANILA (UPDATE) — The Department of the Interior and Local Government on Sunday announced the suspension of classes in several regions on November 10 and 11 as Super Typhoon Uwan batters parts of Philippines. 


ALL LEVELS 

  • National Capital Region
  • Cordillera Administrative Region
  • Region I
  • Region II
  • Region III
  • Region IV-A
  • Region IV-B
  • Region V
  • Region VI
  • Region VII
  • Region VIII
  • Negros Island Region


Government work is also suspended on Monday, November 10, in the following regions:

  • National Capital Region
  • Cordillera Administrative Region
  • Region I
  • Region II
  • Region III
  • Region IV-A
  • Region IV-B
  • Region V
  • Region VIII


Uwan, which intensified into a super typhoon, may make landfall over Aurora on Sunday night or early Monday at or near peak intensity of 195 kph winds. 

It is expected to make landfall over the southern portion of Isabela or northern portion of Aurora late Sunday evening or early morning Monday.

While recurving, Uwan will exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday. It will re-enter the northwestern boundary by Thursday, cross Taiwan, and exit the PAR for good on Friday.
