As Elton (Lito Camo) mentions that it is going to be Rudy's (Joey Marquez) birthday the following day, he asks him how he plans to celebrate it. Rudy tells him and the neighbors present that he's actually not thinking about it anymore since he doesn't have enough money to throw a birthday celebration.
However, their neighbors care about him so much that they offer to chip in whatever they can—from food to drinks—just so he can celebrate his birthday. As grateful as he is for their generosity, Rudy declines their pledges, telling them that he's no longer keen on celebrating his birthday, especially now that he's already old.
Aling Diday (Diana Opilac) firmly counters and reminds him, "Rudy, dapat ipinagpapasalamat 'yan. Isipin mo, pinapaalis tayo rito ng mga Jacinto sa lugar natin, nabaril ka pa, [at] buhay ka pa rin hanggang ngayon. 'Yon ang dapat na ipinagpapasalamat mo sa Diyos!"
Their neighbors echo her sentiments, as does Gabo (Coco Martin), who assures his father that he doesn't have anything to worry about anymore since they're going work together to make his birthday celebration possible—much to everyone's delight and excitement.
Inside the house, Sam (Julia Montes) finds a way to quietly launch her own investigation about Gabo, as she excuses herself from Mameng (Ces Quesada) and heads to Gabo's bedroom to rummage through his belongings in hopes of finding something that can help confirm her hunch that he has connections to the Zafra family and Mr. Chan (Mike Castillo).
