While Gabo (Coco Martin) is busy cleaning up his room and preparing a bath and clothes for her to wear afterward, Sam (Julia Montes), a.k.a. "Gloria," takes the chance to step out of their house and observe the neighborhood.
Since she's a new face in Ginituang Lupa—not to mention radiantly beautiful—it's inevitable for the neighbors to notice her and become curious about her. One of them is Diday (Diana Opilac), who even strikes up a conversation with Gloria. Her family tries to stop Diday interrogating Gloria but she's unstoppable and goes on to ask her how she and Gabo met, to which Gloria responds that she can't actually remember.
Gabo suddenly comes to Gloria's side and introduces her to Diday as his wife. As Diday implies that she’s surprised to find out that he already has a spouse, Gabo tells her that even he was surprised by Gloria’s unexpected arrival the night before. When Diday asks why Gloria seems confused, Gabo explains that she hit her head hard after falling from their roof while hanging the clothes she had washed.
Gloria then asks them—out of the blue—how long she has been residing in Ginintuang Lupa, to which Gabo replies that she just came home the night before after spending years in prison—much to the shock and bewilderment of Sam and everyone who's listening to their conversation. He tells her that she was charged with several counts of estafa and murder after scamming people and killing those who asked her to pay back what they owed her. She was supposed to be in prison for life, which is why he really didn’t expect her return.
The revelations of Gabo about Gloria further pique Diday’s interest in her, and she proudly reveals that she’s actually an ex-convict, too. She checks Gloria’s arms but finds no tattoo, prompting Gabo to lie again, saying that Gloria was known to be tough in prison, so nobody dared to come near her.
As soon as Diday and her family leave, Gloria asks Gabo to confirm whether she was indeed jailed, and he simply reiterates what he said earlier. He also tells Gloria how he had already lost hope of being with her again after they got married, and once again puts his sweet-talking skills to work. He then embraces her tightly, which, unbeknownst to him, disgusts Gloria and makes her even more eager to get back at him once her mission there is over.
