As soon as she's done treating her gunshot wound, cleaning her up, and changing her clothes, Mameng (Ces Quesada) leaves the still-unconscious Sam (Julia Montes) in Gabo's (Coco Martin) bedroom to allow her to further rest and recuperate. She steps outside, where Gabo is waiting for her, apparently unable to shake his worries about Sam’s condition and safety.
Mameng tells him that Sam has only sustained a bullet graze, then agrees to Rudy's (Joey Marquez) suggestion that they take Sam to the hospital, fearing that her wound could become infected. However, Gabo strongly objects, afraid that taking her out of their house would put her life in even greater danger if the people pursuing her were to find her.
This prompts Mameng to convey her concern that their own lives could also be at risk, as they might get caught up in the dangerous situation their unexpected guest is in. But Gabo insists on keeping Sam with them, convincing his father and aunt that she is in danger and needs their protection.
The three of them return to Gabo’s bedroom to check on Sam, with Rudy remarking that, thankfully, she wasn’t badly injured. Gabo then says that Sam was still fortunate to have landed on the roof of their house.
Meanwhile, Mameng, suggests that they either find the parents of Sam to inform them about her situation or report this incident to the NLEA, which Gabo both opposes anew as he points out that they still do not know yet who her enemies are. He believes it would be better for Sam to stay with them until she wakes up and recovers before they begin searching for her parents.
