MANILA — Drag performer Marina Summers said she is excited to host the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 coronation night, calling it a milestone moment in her career as the first transgender woman to take on the role.
On Wednesday, after opening ABS-CBN's noontime program "It's Showtime," Marina talked about her return to the Miss Universe Philippines stage.

"I am the first trans woman to host Miss Universe Philippines this year. And, I'm so happy to share the stage with all the amazing candidates representing the beauty of Filipinas here in our country. So I'm really excited," Marina sad.
Marina even revealed that she just went to "It's Showtime" to be blessed, saying that she also visited the noontime program before her "RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World" stint.
"Pumunta talaga ako sa 'Showtime' para magpabasbas kasi before 'yung 'RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World' nag-perform muna ako rito bago ako nag-tour abroad. So talagang may swerte ang 'Showtime.' Parang 'yung mga Miss Universe candidates na kailangan muna mag-guest sa 'Showtime,' ma-interview muna ni Meme Vice (Ganda), hindi ba? May ganoon," she added.
Marina is set to host this year's edition of Miss Universe Philippines, which will be held on May 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
In 2024, she was also the first Filipina drag queen to perform on the MUPH stage.
Marina is promoting her newest single titled "EABAB," which is now available on all streaming platforms. She's also currently on the last leg of her "Icon Diva Doll Tour."
