Asia Rose Simpson is filled with gratitude after representing the Philippines in the Miss World 2026 pageant in Vietnam last Saturday, September 5.
She placed in the Top 12 of the competition, which was won by Joheirry Mola of Dominican Republic.
In an Instagram post, Simpson took the opportunity to say thank you to all of those who have supported her pageant journey.
"Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to each of you!" she said.
The beauty queen also posted a Bible verse about trusting God's plan amid setbacks.
She wrote: "Romans 8:28. 'And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.'"
Simpson was aiming for the Philippines' second Miss World crown, after Megan Young in 2013.
Throughout the competition, she used her platform to share her passion for art and dance, believing these can be powerful tools for advocacy.
