After two years, Marina Summers is returning to the Miss Universe Philippines stage.
The Filipino drag star is set to host this year's edition of the pageant, which will be held on May 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Sharing MUPH's announcement of her hosting stint on Instagram Stories, Summers declared: "Pilipinas, it's summertime yet again!"
"So honored to make herstory again!" she added. "From being the first drag queen to perform on the Miss Universe stage to becoming the first trans woman to host the pageant."
Summers delivered an explosive performance on the MUPH stage in 2024, a first for a Filipina drag queen.
She said it has always been her dream to say her name and country in front of a large crowd.
"Marina Summers, The Philippines! This is for every baklang chikiting that dreamed of saying this iconic line. Oras na para tayo naman ang rumampa," she said in a previous Instagram post.
Summers was a finalist in the second season of "RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs the World."
Despite not winning the top title, she was able to grow a global fan base and has 449,000 Instagram followers as of writing.
