In less than a month, Victoria Theilvig will end her reign as Miss Universe.
The beauty queen from Denmark turned sentimental on Instagram as she prepares to pass her crown, saying it "has meant more to me than words can express."
"As I count down the days, my heart is filled with gratitude, love, and a sense of deep reflection. This year has been a whirlwind of unforgettable moments. Moments that have shaped me, challenged me, and opened my eyes to a world of endless possibility," said Theilvig, who had the chance to visit the Philippines earlier this year as part of her Miss Universe duties.
"Being Miss Universe has been a dream, but more than that, it has been a privilege to represent so many women, voices, and causes that matter. Every experience, every smile, every story shared has touched my heart in ways I never expected," she added.
Theilvig said she feels "a mix of emotions" as she counts down the days, but she nevertheless considers herself "incredibly blessed" to become Miss Universe.
To her successor, she said: "Remember, this crown isn't just a title. It's a responsibility, a gift, a chance to leave your mark on the world."
"Thank you to everyone who believed in me. I will carry you with me always. This journey will forever be a part of who I am," she ended.
The Miss Universe 2025 competition will kick off in Thailand on November 2, with the coronation night set on November 21.
A sendoff party was recently held for the Philippines' representative, Ahtisa Manalo, as she aims for the country's fifth Miss Universe title after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
