Kinikilig na ba ang lahat?

Sparks have indeed been flying in the air in Ginintuang Lupa, as avid viewers of "Coco Martin's Sigabo" and fervent shippers of the CocoJul tandem continue to be served with kilig-filled and comedic moments between Gabo and Sam (a.k.a. "Gloria"), brilliantly portrayed by prime Kapamilya actors Coco Martin and Julia Montes.

As expected by viewers, perhaps, the kilig extends off-cam, as revealed by the reel-and-real-life couple in an exclusive interview shared by CCM Film Productions on its official YouTube channel.

Julia, on the other hand, shared that they want viewers to see how she and Coco really are as a couple in real life. She confessed that although they have been together for more than a decade, they still can't help but feel shy around each other, whether they're at work or not. Thus, she revealed that there have been scenes where the reactions and emotions they displayed were genuine—from their lovely smiles to the awkward moments between Gabo and Sam.

"Ang sarap lang to work with Coco, especially on this kind of role. Sabi ko nga, this is my dream role. So, rom-com naman. Ang sarap-sarap lang gawin ng mga ganitong eksena with him," Julia related.

With regard to what goes on in Gabo's mind every time he is with Gloria, Coco said that, as a man, it's certainly inevitable for his character to fantasize about eventually ending up with a beautiful woman like Gloria someday.

Considering how impossible Gabo’s plight makes it for him to find love, he simply enjoys every moment he spends with Gloria now that she is in Ginintuang Lupa. Fully aware that the time will eventually come when the truth is revealed, Gabo makes sure to make Gloria feel his love, respect, and protection for as long as she is with him.

Meanwhile, for Sam's part, Julia related that her character might be wondering why Gabo was staring at her in the scene where he watched her walk back to their house after she went out to buy ingredients for the meal that his Aunt Mameng (Ces Quesada) was about to prepare. She is likely curious about what he was thinking since she is still not entirely comfortable around him. At the same time, a part of her suspects that he may be connected to the high-profile criminals she has been pursuing as an NCIA agent.

So, when asked who between Gabo and Gloria she thinks gets more butterflies, she jokingly said it was probably Gabo. But she immediately took it back and said it could be Sam, because she feels something different inside her whenever she catches a glimpse of Gabo’s smile.

However, she admitted that she couldn’t quite tell if she was already feeling those emotions herself as Julia, so she left it up to the viewers to find out by tuning in every night. She also encouraged everyone not to miss a single episode to see whether Gabo and Sam will finally fall in love or continue to bicker like cats and dogs.

And lastly, when quizzed about which direction Gabo and Gloria's lovestory is leading to, Coco disclosed, "Honestly, sa pagbubuo ko ng kuwento, day by day talaga eh. Pinapakiramdaman ko, fini-feel ko 'yong bawat situation, 'yong eksena, 'yong location, 'yong mga actors. Doon ko pa lang binubuo 'yong bawat mga eksenang pupuntahan namin eh. Pero, as of now, basta ang mindset ko, kailangan naming ma-protektahan si Gloria o si Sam."

Coco went on to express how much he hopes that viewers will join him in unfolding the love story of Gabo and Sam and discovering where their relationship will lead. As Gabo, he would want her to get to know the Ginintuang Lupa community, his family, and, most importantly, Gabo himself on a deeper and more personal level. At the same time, he also teased that Gabo and Sam could end up becoming fierce enemies instead, which viewers should look forward to in the upcoming episodes.

Aside from the exclusive interview with Coco and Julia, the video also features some of their kilig and candid off-cam moments, as well as some of their behind-the-scenes ganaps while on the set.
