What was supposed to be just pretending is now slowly becoming real?
From simply running into each other in completely random instances, it’s quite amusing to see that Gabo (Coco Martin) and Sam (Julia Montes) are now living under one roof as husband and wife in “Coco Martin’s Sigabo”!
They may have started out hating each other—with Gabo accusing her of ‘violating’ him during their first encounter, and Sam suspecting him of having ties to notorious gold-smuggling syndicate leader Victor “Tigre” Zafra (JM de Guzman)—but now, sparks and butterflies are beginning to fly between them the more time they spend together while pretending to be each other’s spouses.
As avid viewers know, putting on an act was never something they mutually agreed upon. It was Sam who first put on her own act by pretending to have lost her memory as she secretly investigates the Zafra case. Gabo, meanwhile, decided to play along by convincing her that she is his wife and even gave her a new identity as “Gloria.” And somehow, their little charade seems to be working out just the way Gabo and Sam want it to.
Although they have both set a common rule to never let their feelings get in the way, it’s apparently inevitable as they get to know each other little by little as the days go by. As we eagerly wait to see where Gabo and Sam’s fake relationship will take them, let’s rewind and relive 10 of their sweetest, swooniest, and most kilig moments so far in this Kapamilya Toplist feature!
On her initial attempt to play along with the act put up by Gabo, Sam asked her if they had any children. He told her that they’d actually been trying to conceive, but they had yet to be blessed with one. So, Gabo told her not to worry because later that night, they were going to “make” a baby—much to the astonishment of Sam and Gabo’s father, Rudy (Joey Marquez), and Aunt Mameng (Ces Quesada).
Gabo immediately showed Sam just how dutiful a husband he could be—from feeding her to preparing the things needed to treat her wounds. Aside from actions, he also expressed his love for Gloria through words, telling her how much he loves her and cares for her in front of his family and friends. While Sam was initially appalled by what he had just said and done, she proved that she knew how to play along by acting sweet towards Gabo in front of his friends.
Even though Sam pretended to like eating pagpag, or leftovers from restaurants that were basically salvaged from garbage dumps, she couldn’t help but be touched by what Gabo told her over dinner. He promised to do everything he could to give her and their future family a good life, although it would mean sacrificing his own needs, which was something she never expected to hear from a man like Gabo.
Of course, who could forget those amusingly kilig scenes when they hid under a blanket as Gabo attempted to conceal Sam from his stepmom, Betchay (Irma Adlawan), as well as the moment when he tried to make love to her to fulfill their “dream” of having a child. There were also instances when their simple exchange of glances was enough to make both of them—and even the viewers—smile and kilig over the growing genuineness of their romantic connection.
As we look forward to the day when Gabo and Sam finally make things between them real, let’s watch out for more of their sweet and swoony moments on “Coco Martin’s Sigabo,” weeknights at 8 PM on ALLTV2, Kapamilya Channel, TV5, and A2Z, as well as on Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
