As Gloria/Sam (Julia Montes) keeps watch over Gabo (Coco Martin) in his bedroom, Rudy (Joey Marquez) suddenly steps inside to check on his son and see how he is doing. Although relieved that nothing worse happens to his son, Rudy still can’t help but blame himself, knowing he would never forgive himself if anything more serious had happened to his son.
Rudy goes on to tell Gloria what a good person his son is, revealing how Gabo is willing to get himself into trouble and put his own life at risk just to help those who are in dire need. Gloria echoes his sentiment, saying that she knows how kindhearted Gabo is. After Rudy leaves, Gloria sits beside the unconscious Gabo once again, gazing at him with concern before eventually stepping out of the room.
The following day, Gloria returns to Gabo’s bedroom to check on him. As she looks at him, she silently confesses how conflicted she feels.
While she seeks refuge in their home to secretly conduct her investigation with regard to the Zafra case assigned to her prior to her temporary dismissal from the NCIA—as he believes that Gabo could be the key to clearing her name once and for all and finally bringing Victor “Tigre” Zafra (JM de Guzman) to justice—Gloria admits that her perception of Gabo is slowly beginning to change as she spends more time with him and his family. Now, she finds herself hoping that her initial impression of him is wrong, especially now that she sees a man who is willing to protect her at all costs.
