In his pursuit of saving his neighbors from being attacked by the henchmen of the notorious Zafra family, who have been searching for Sam (Julia Montes), Gabo (Coco Martin) tried to fight the enemies singlehandedly, only to be beaten by them until he lost consciousness.
Upon making sure that their neighbors were safe and seeing that Gabo had been knocked down, his friends immediately fired at the hooligans until they were able to shoot all of them down. They quickly carried Gabo home, where his oblivious yet worried family, including his fake wife, Gloria, was waiting for him to return.
That was why they were truly overcome with worry when the group arrived, and they saw the pitiful condition of Gabo. They hurriedly brought him to his bedroom, where Gloria volunteered to clean him up and treat his wounds.
Outside Gabo’s bedroom, his father, Rudy (Joey Marquez), interrogated his friends about what happened and asked who the group they had gone up against was. While the tropa had no idea who they were, their neighbors told them that the goons were actually looking for someone. This prompted Tekla (Sue Ramirez) to furiously blame Gloria—though without really dropping her name—remarking that none of this would have happened if it weren’t for her presence in Ginintuang Lupa.
However, Rudy told her that it wasn’t the right time to play the blame game and that they should simply wait for Gabo to wake up. Meanwhile, despite only pretending to be his spouse, Sam couldn’t help but worry about Gabo.
As she stepped out of Gabo’s bedroom, Mameng (Ces Quesada) reassured everyone that Gabo was actually just fine despite being badly beaten up. He had only sustained a few wounds and bruises, so there was nothing for them to worry about. Before they left, Tekla told Rudy that she would definitely go back the next day.
