Team DaCkie or Team BreCkie? Choose your fighter!
Most girls are probably going ‘sana all’ over Jackie Gonzaga's ‘ganda problem’ of being caught between Darren Espanto and Brent Manalo. Their little ‘love triangle’ is all part of the ‘aktingan’ portion on the “It’s Showtime” segment "Laro Laro Pick," but come on, the ‘kilig’ just feels so real! So, here's a compilation of their cutest ‘agawan’ moments that might just help you decide which team you're on.
Solid Showtimers would know that DaCkie, or Darren and Jackie's tandem, was the original target of teasing because of their chemistry and closeness. But when Brent started appearing on the noontime program, just as Darren was away for his out-of-the-country shows, Jackie and Brent got their own scenes together where viewers noted they looked pretty good together on screen, too. The BreCkie ship started sailing!
When Darren returned from his shows abroad, Brent wasn't happy to see his rival back in the picture. Darren called him out, asking, "Naliliitan ka ba sa'kin?" to which Brent fought back with, "Bakit? Tingin mo tatagos ka sa'kin?!"
The love triangle got more intense from there! Everyone in the studio screamed in kilig when the three played students working on a school project. Then, in the middle of Darren and Brent's tug-of-war, the project, which was a drawing of a heart, was torn into two. And what better way to continue the "agawan" than to have Darren and Brent compete over who gets to put the broken heart back together?
There was also a scene where the boys literally showed off their dance moves to impress Jackie. And in another, Darren and Brent took turns throwing pick-up lines her way using lyrics from Eraserheads' "Ligaya." So, who would you choose—the guy who'd do your thesis or the one who'd spend three hours trying to look cute for you?
The kilig levels also went through the roof when Brent took on the role of a dentist while Jackie played his patient. Their faces got so close, like, one more inch and they would've kissed, until Darren entered the scene to protest, "Bakit gano'n kalapit?!" Is that a hint of jealousy?
When it was Brent's turn to be away for a few days, of course he missed Jackie. So they picked up right where they left off with their sweet moments as soon as he came back. That is, until Darren suddenly joined in again, prompting Brent to throw some shade at him, saying, "Sumasapaw ah!"
Both ships have given us enough kilig to keep this little love triangle going, so we'll ask you again—Team DaCkie or Team BreCkie?
