Kapamilya singer and songwriter Angela Ken is set to release her latest single, “tayo lang,” on all streaming platforms this coming September 25. During the media conference for her upcoming concert, Angela Ken: Panahon Na Natin, she shared what the tracks mean to her and her journey as an artist.
Angela’s upcoming single, “tayo na,” is the first song she ever wrote back in 2018. She confidently shared how she knows that it’s time for the world to hear the complete version of it.“I'm very, very excited na may-release na siya kasi she's ready. She's so, so ready. Yes,” she expressed.
“Ngayon ko pa lang siya ilalabas nang kumpleto. There are changes sa lyrics niya, there are tweaks. Pinagtibay rin siya ng panahon,” she added.
She expressed how it took her seven years to release the song, but admitted how scared, yet at the same time, hopeful she is that her fans get to listen to the complete version of the song.
“Isa yun sa pinaka-kinakabahan po ako… Sana po mahalin niyo si ‘tayo lang.’ Paano ko siya minahal,” she maintained.
The Kapamilya singer-songwriter will be performing the song for the first time at her upcoming concert which will be directed by John Prats. She expressed her excitement as this will be her first ever major concert which will be held at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Apart from tayo lang, Angela will be performing the six songs in her Panahon EP–– “Panahon,” “baka bukas,” “Kulimlim,” “Pwede Bang Mamaya?,” “kahapon,” and “simula ngayon.”
“It’s a different kind of personal; it’s a different kind of intimate. I want them to feel na nagkakaabutan lang tayong lahat,” she said. “Yung difference nito is yung lalim na gusto naming mensahe sa bawat set, sa bawat performance, sa bawat guest.”
