Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto are set to star in their most mature project yet with “Always Yours, Never Mine.”

The reunion project is directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana.

“Mas makilala characters namin. Iba-ibang timelines. Makita mo characters namin from 18 years all the way to 45 or more. Very challenging for us kasi 'di pa namin na-reach gano'ng age. Very challenging din bumalik sa mas bata,” Garcia explained in an interview held in Quezon City.

“It is a romantic drama. You will grow up with the characters,” Barretto added.

For the pair, saying yes to the project was a no-brainer.

“Gusto ko magkaroon ng pelikula with Julia and Direk Cathy. Gusto ko maging part ng project kasi ang laki ng project. Nang nabasa ko script sabi ko ito klase ng pelikula gusto ko gawin. Pagkabasa ko pa lang nagustuhan ko na. Parang American movie vibes,” Garcia reasoned.

“I always look forward to working with Josh. 'No' was not even an option. Especially working with Direk Cathy. This was definitely a project to look forward to,” Barretto said.

“Always Yours, Never Mine” is set to hit Philippine cinemas on September 30, with eyed international release dates to follow.
