Lisa has released the trailer for her upcoming documentary Always Lalisa.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the BLACKPINK star’s journey as she pursued solo music during a one-year break from group activities.
“I’ve been with BLACKPINK [for] 10 years. Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé, they’re my soulmates. We promised that we’d take a one-year break,” Lisa said in the trailer.
“One year, it’s really short. What should I do first?" she added. "I just want to see what else I’m capable of.”
The trailer highlights key moments from Lisa’s year-long journey, including behind-the-scenes footage of her building her solo career and exploring a new chapter in her life.
“I'm finding myself as well, a new me,” she remarked.
Fans online were quick to react to the trailer.

Always Lalisa is set to premiere in cinemas on October 12.
According to the documentary’s description on YouTube, Always Lalisa features Lisa "during a transformative year away from BLACKPINK, the K-pop phenomenon that made her one of the world's most recognizable performers. As the group pauses activities, Lisa embarks on the first true chapter of her solo career, confronting the question of who she is beyond BLACKPINK.”
The documentary chronicles a defining period in Lisa’s solo career, from the creation of Alter Ego and her first acting role in The White Lotus to the preparations leading up to her solo appearance at Coachella in 2025.
The documentary also looks back at Lisa’s journey from her childhood in Thailand to becoming a global K-pop superstar.
"But forging her own path, particularly in the Western music market, brings new pressures, relentless scrutiny, and the challenge of redefining herself on her own terms," the description said.
Always Lalisa had its world premiere as part of the Gala Presentations program at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival on September 11.
