Content creator and host AC Soriano expressed his excitement for the second season of the Korean action-thriller series A Shop for Killers, saying the show's compelling storytelling made him an instant fan.
AC spoke to PUSH ABS-CBN during the launch of A Shop for Killers Season 2, which is now streaming on Disney+.
The It's Showtime Online U host also served as the event host, a role he said was meaningful because of his love for the series’ first season. "Sobrang nakakatouch kasi sabi nga nila, they wanted to get someone to host na fan talaga ‘nung show. Eh ako, sobrang aliw na aliw ako sa kanya.”
According to AC, he first discovered the series through a clip he came across on TikTok. Describing it as the kind of series that keeps viewers hooked from beginning to end, he added, "Ngayon kasi ang hirap na makahanap ng mga TV shows na talagang uupuan mo nang isang upuan. At 'yun 'yung nangyari dito sa A Shop for Killers.”
When asked what he loved most about the series, AC pointed to its balance of action, drama, and emotional storytelling. "Ako siguro 'yung mix of sentimentality niya… 'Yung tamang mix of drama and action. Buong-buo 'yung istorya niya. Kumpleto rekados.”
AC also praised lead star Lee Dong-wook, whom he has followed since the actor's early projects. If given the opportunity to interview one of the cast members, he said he would choose Lee and ask about his dedication behind his long-running success.
“'Saan nanggagaling 'yung sipag mo?' Ang galing kasi talaga na parang every character, iba-iba 'yung characterization," he said, praising the Korean actor’s filmography. "We can learn a thing or two, I guess, sa kung paano niya binibilog 'yung mga characters niya at kung paano niya aatakehin 'yung mga roles niya."
Meanwhile, aside from his hosting duties, AC is also busy with his newly launched podcast, AC Versus the World, which streams every Friday at 7 p.m. on his YouTube channel, AC's Life.
The content creator said he started the podcast because he wanted to have deeper conversations that go beyond the short interview segments he usually does.
"Ang gusto kong mangyari dito sa podcast ko, parang puso sa pusong tanungan na may halong dogshowan," he explained. Among those he featured included social media personalities Sassa Gurl and Sophie Prime.
AC added that his goal is to preserve meaningful stories—both his own and those of his guests. He said, “My goal with this podcast is to immortalize their stories and also mine. Kasi versusan siya na parang meron tayong isang topic pero hindi lang lang siya guest, hindi lang siya interview, it’s more of sharing tayo ng mga ganap sa life. Baka maaaring may mga parallels tayo sa life na maari tayong magka-relate-an.”
