Whether its on on her social media platforms or on It’s Showtime Live, host AC Soriano continues to endear herself to viewers with her charm and lively personality. In a recent exclusive interview with PUSH BETS host Gary Lastrilla, AC talked about the best part of her growing up years and how she was raised in an unorthodox way by her grandmother.

“My life back then, ako laking lola talaga ako, kaya yung lola ko, alam mo yung mga nagnunod ng teleserye talaga, Pangako Sa ‘Yo, yung mga Mula Sa Puso, yung mga sumasabog na bus, pinapanuod namin yun ng lola ko talaga. So yun yung palakihan. Kasi ang nanay ko OFW, ang tatay ko ay, kung nasaan man siya, tapos, kasambahay namin, tapos ako, yun yung kinalakihan ko talaga, and parang, what I’m thinking about it is, I wouldn’t trade it for parang, yung usual household, na may nanay at tatay at anak, kasi, it’s so much fun, growing up in a feminine household,” she told PUSH BETS.

Her relationship with her grandmother was so close that AC was thankful that she never had to formally come “out” with her sexuality.

“Ang dami naming unspeakable in life eh, na parang we’re just together. Alam mo yung comfort in silence? Alam lang namin na magkatabi kami, nanonood kami ng TV, happy na kami doon. Siguro ang one thing na na-carry over ko na talaga ever since, na ugali niya, yung pagiging straightforward niya, na hindi siya natatakot na sabihin kung ano yung gusto niya sabihin. Kaya siguro feeling ko, dun siya nanggaling sa akin. Kaya minsan yung thoughts ko dire-diretso lang, kasi yun yung kinalakihan ko, na parang kapag ayaw niya, ayaw niya, kapag may nakita siya mali, aayawan niya agad, so yun, that’s how I carry her,” she recalled.

AC is very vocal about having a high respect for women, because she was raised in a predominantly female household. “Ang taas ng respeto ko sa mga babae, parang nakakatuwa lang na yun yung naging roots ko, for myself, and again, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even ito going forward na ng medyo malayo-layo, I didn’t have to come out. Sa lola ko, never, she just knew. At parang, she just knew, nag-ba-bangs na ako at kung ano-ano, Diyos ko, ang haba na ng buhok ko, parang, paano pa ba ako makakapagtago sa lola ko? Parang, again, it’s always the unspeakable. Na mas, tumatatak sa puso mo. It’s always the unspeakable, yung mga, moments,” she admitted.

Apart from her grandmother, AC shared that her mother was also very supportive of her even before she became a content creator. “Supportive siya. May laptop na akong kaya mag-edit ng mabilis. Ganyan. So, parang, okay, sige. Para lang, alam ko na siya. At saka, siyempre, lahat tayo, meron tayong style sa kung paano natin makita yung mundo so more cameras. So, I think, yun yung naghahasa sa akin. At saka, alam mo yung maglabas ka ng kuwento sa sarili mo yung makulit na isipan na pinapatos ng iba. Masarap siya sa feeling, ah. Yung validation na. Okay, may mata ka, at may kwento kang sasabihin,” she added.
