Pinoy Big Brother alumnus Benedix Ramos returns to the Boys Love (BL) scene with his latest project, All The Things I Leave You.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Benedix shared just how special this genre is to him.

“This kind of genre is also very special to me because I started acting in BL din — Better Days, directed by Carlo Obispo. It's a story that hindi naman kasi talagang madalas din na i-story sa mainstream and all that. Pero they exist. This kind of stories really matter. And very relevant pa rin hanggang ngayon,” he expressed.
This time, Benedix is paired with newcomer Justin Paul Basobas. In the film, they portray Ilocano boys Jorge and Kiko, who are connected through a shared family past. Together, they navigate the complexities of coming-of-age emotions and relationships in this story directed by Jade Castro.
“Si Justin, he's really such a good actor and a good friend din. Hindi naging mahirap na magkatrabaho kami kasi nag-click talaga kami kaagad. Maybe because he's also from Pangasinan, Alaminos. Tapos ako, I'm from Dagupan. So, we kind of have the same culture,” he reasoned.
Meanwhile, Benedix revealed how his portrayal of Jorge personally resonated with him.
“Si Jorge, hindi niya naisip na ‘yung education ay isa sa magiging paraan para maging successful din talaga. He thought na ‘yung skill niya lang at ‘yung talent niya ang makakapagpa-success sa kanya. Pero there's so much sa education na nati-take for granted natin,” he shared.
The young actor went on to share how his experience with the character mirrored some of his own personal experiences.
“I'm actually Jorge in real life, I struggled in college and I had three courses in college and three universities. Ten years in college, working student sa Baguio. So, ‘yung story ni Jorge is something that alam kong nag-struggle din siya sa college and sa education niya. At ang hirap pagsabayin nung kagustuhan mo ng magtrabaho at tumulong sa pamilya, tapos gusto mo at the same time na makaaral pa, makapagtapos. And then later on in life, doon mo lang marirealize na mahalaga pa rin pala talaga ang may edukasyon, may diploma,” Benedix recalled.
All The Things I Leave You recently had an exclusive private screening in the Philippines, but details about its wider distribution are still to be announced.
