Nadine Lustre explained Monday why she has been absent from recent promotions of her Metro Manila Film Festival (MMMF) entry, "Call Me Mother," especially during the festival's Parade of Stars.
"I had to take my yearly sabbatical, it's very important for me to take care of my health and nagpaalam naman ako kay Ate Vice [Ganda]," she said, referring to the comedy superstar whom she stars with in the film.

On Monday, the cast of "Call Me Mother" were supposed to have an outdoor event in Marikina as part of their promotional activities, but cancelled due to unpredictable weather.
"Meron kaming dapat na ganap sa Marikina pero because of the weather, hindi matantsa eh outdoor siya kaya cancel, eh ayoko ng cancel, nag-isip kami ng ganap para makapaglako!" said Vice.
Instead, they all went on an unannounced mall visit to three big malls in Quezon City. Mallgoers were surprised to see Vice and Lustre together with former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemates Esnyr, Brent Manalo, River Joseph and Shuvee handing out posters and taking selfies.
