Heaven Peralejo was all praises for Alden Richards, who directed her new movie Out of Order.
The actress remarked that Alden, who was also the lead actor of the film, was truly passionate about filmmaking.
"Sobrang cool niya. Alam mo, walang problem sa set. Lahat ng crew actually, naka-smile lang kasi nadadala niya 'yung set eh. Tapos alam mo 'yung sobrang passionate niya and nakakatuwa kasi alam kong dream niya ito ever since," she said in an interview with MJ Marfori.
When asked how she supported Alden in his first directorial project, Heaven replied: "I just did my best. Sana 'yung best na 'yun enough na."
The actress also shared the preparations she did for her role in the movie. "Nanood kami ng cases. Live talaga. I did my research before going on set, and ang hahaba ng mga lines so I have to be very, very conscious about it. But ang dami kong natutunan kay Direk Alden," she stated.
Out of Order premiered on Netflix on October 2.
The movie follows the story of "a bungling young attorney [who] must defend his estranged father, a celebrity lawyer accused of gruesome murder, while facing off against his brilliant ex-girlfriend, a public prosecutor. In his quest for justice, he'll delve into a world of shattered dreams, fractured relationships, and the long shadow of corruption," as per its IMDb.
In a recent report by Manila Bulletin, Alden admitted that juggling various roles for the film were very challenging. Aside from being the movie's director and actor, Alden also co-produced the film.
"It's very taxing. It's very demanding to be of three hats in one project. But masaya siyang gawin kasi napu-push ko 'yung sarili ko sa limits," he said.
Alden remarked that his foray into directing is his way of giving back to the entertainment industry. "Hindi ako mapapagod to give more and to give back to the industry with how I live my life as an actor," he stated.
