Although it's accurate to say in showbiz that "stars come and go," a star that has been cared for, nurtured, and put to the test will maintain its brilliance.

At 50, Vice Ganda remains one of the Philippines' biggest stars, hosting the top noontime show "It's Showtime," running "Gandang Gabi, Vice" Season 2, opening UAAP Season 89, and receiving Takilya King from the 42nd Star Awards For Movies on October 25.

During the UAAP Season 89 opening ceremony, Vice put on her own Super Bowl show, complete with explosive song and dance numbers, outrageous outfit changes, and extravagant set designs.

Emphasizing that a basic performance was never an option, Vice said, “I just wanna give extra at that moment. I just want it to be grand. I just want it to be unkabogable. I just want it to be just Vice Ganda.”

“Hindi puwedeng basic. That’s not part of our vocabulary,” Vice added.

While everything appeared flamboyant, the Kapamilya superstar did not miss an opportunity to use his star power to deliver a political message, urging the young audience to fight for a society that provides decent living conditions and opportunities for success.

Meanwhile, the second season of "Gandang Gabi, Vice" premiered on Sunday with a pilot episode that broke online records.

Earning praise from netizens, the comedy superstar displayed an unkabogable hosting style, asking both difficult and relatable questions in a humorous manner.

Making the late night show more fun, juicy, and spicy, the uncut version of the interview with Alden Richards was uploaded to iWant, increasing the number of online subscribers to the Kapamilya platform.

“Suwerte ng mga faney ngayon [kasi] may unfiltered episode na. Dati, pahirapan pa maghanap ng nakaw na recording. Minsan nga, kahit audio lang, pinapatos na namin,” one X user shared.

Another online user said, “30 minutes pa lang akong nanonood ng unfiltered GGV ay grabe na ang tawa ko. Aliw so much.”

Maintaining his unkabogable status, Vice will receive the Takilya King Award from the 42nd Star Awards for Movies on October 25 and promote his film “The Greatest Showdown” with Vic Sotto in December.

On being phenomenal, he told ABS-CBN News, “Sa rami ng nangyayari sa paligid, it really takes a phenomenon to sustain that. Not everyone is able to sustain success, happiness. Not everyone is able to reach a longevity, ‘di ba? Ang daming mga pangalan or brands or mga pangyayari sa buhay na, ‘Nakita ko na siya. Nag-exist. And then after a while, nawala na.’ So for me, ang pagiging phenomenal is being able to be there and still be there tomorrow.”
