From beauty queen to entrepreneur, Celeste Cortesi is adding another title to the list: a mom to her baby boy.
Talking with PUSH ABS-CBN, Celeste candidly opened up about how pregnancy has transformed not only her priorities but also the way she sees herself.
“I think one of the biggest realizations is there's nothing that matters to me the most but my baby, of course. I kind of think more motherly. I kind of think about myself as being a mom. It’s something that, if you were gonna ask me five years ago, I would not have thought of,” she shared.
While she continues to grow her cosmetics brand, ASUL, Celeste’s biggest motivation now is her growing family, especially her soon-to-be-born son, Sergio.
“It puts me in the position that I want to work hard and more for the family and the baby. I just want to make my baby proud,” she added.
Pregnancy has also given her a newfound appreciation for mothers and the emotional challenges they go through.
“At first, when people talked to me about hormones, I was like ‘I’m going to be fine. I’m crazy.’ I’m like, I really cannot. But now, I feel so much for moms now on what they go through during their pregnancy. It’s really hard, mentally and emotionally,” she admitted.
With a lot of changes happening to herself, it makes the support of family and loved ones even more important.
“I think you really go through a lot of changes and it's important to have a good system around you. My hormones have been playing a lot in the past few months, but it's all part of the process and what makes the pregnancy a beautiful journey,” she said.
During the media huddle, Celeste shared that she and her partner Jonathan Sterling have already prepared well ahead of their baby's arrival.
“We bought everything. I think we are the most prepared when it comes to the baby stuff because three months before I give birth, we already made the baby’s room, brought the clothes and everything. It's been very exciting,” Celeste shared.
While she admitted feeling nervous about becoming a first-time mom, the excitement to meet Sergio outweighs the fear: “It's a little scary because this is my first baby, but definitely I'm super super excited and I really can't wait for the baby to be here and to step into a new role.”

Celeste also revealed that she plans to take a newborn care course before giving birth, adding: “Actually, I was about to start a course on how to take care of a newborn and things that I have to learn as a new mom. I think it’s very, very exciting and I just hope that it will go as smoothly as possible.”
Beyond motherhood, Celeste is also preparing to let fans into a more personal chapter of her life through her upcoming documentary, Celeste Unscripted. According to the beauty queen, the documentary chronicles different chapters of her journey, from her pageant days and life as an entrepreneur to her transition into motherhood.
“Actually I'm very excited because it's going to be a documentary about my life and different aspects of my life. It's going to be unscripted and very raw. I’m actually a little bit scared because of that because you know, people coming from the stage, from Miss Universe, and always saying perfect things or behaving a certain way. But now they will see a different side of me,” she said.
“It's going to come out very soon, and I think you guys will see all the things about relationship, friends and also ASUL,” she added.
Although she acknowledged that opening up her personal life invites opinions from others, she hopes that showing her other side will help people connect with her story on a deeper level.
“There’s a lot of behind the scenes that people don't really expect. It puts me in the position where sometimes I don't really want to be out there because how people give different opinions and sometimes I don't want people to really get in my personal life, but you know, I think it’s a very good documentary that maybe makes me even more relatable to people. Anything that can make people relate to me, it’s a win for me. You guys will see a side of me that you guys haven’t seen before,” she said.
