Celeste Cortesi announced that she is set to become a mom.
On her Instagram page on Sunday, April 19, the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 shared a photo of her growing baby bump and the sonogram of her baby.
"To love someone in the most selfless way 🩵," she wrote in the caption.
Friends and fans online were quick to congratulate Celeste.
"Excited and happy for you babe 🩵," Kylie Verzosa commented.
"Sooo happy for u 😍🩷 congratulations," Bea Santiago wrote.
According to a report by Inquirer Entertainment, Celeste confirmed that the father of her baby is her partner, British national Jonathan Sterling.
Celeste previously held the title of Miss Earth Philippines 2018 and went on to represent the country at Miss Earth 2018, where she placed in the Top 8. She later won Miss Universe Philippines 2022 and competed in Miss Universe 2022 held in the United States.
In February 2023, she made a cameo in the final episode of ABS-CBN's Mars Ravelo’s Darna as the “Queen of Marte.”
On Instagram, Celeste opened up about her experience taking on the role in the Kapamilya superhero series.
"Just like Darna.. lumaban at patuloy na lalaban. Taking on the role of Kevnar, The Queen of Marte is definitely a new experience and challenge. Just like any other challenge, I take it as an opportunity to learn and to grow," she said.
Celeste added that truly "when one door closes, another one opens."
"It’s all about seizing the moment and being grateful for the chance to work hard and to learn more about myself. Here is to new beginnings and to new adventures," she highlighted.
It can be recalled that Celeste paid tribute to Darna by wearing a costume inspired by the iconic superhero during the Miss Universe 2022 national costume competition in the U.S.

In October 2024, Celeste ventured into entrepreneurship, launching her own beauty brand, Asul.
"Actually, guys, I've been working on this for already two years, right after Miss Universe," she shared in a past interview with PEP. "I'm so so proud that it's finally happening. And I just love it so much."
