Celeste Cortesi extended financial assistance to the victims of the recent earthquakes in Cebu and Davao Oriental.
Through her beauty brand Asul, the former Miss Universe Philippines-turned-entrepreneur made a cash donation to the Angat Buhay Foundation to help those affected by the Cebu earthquake.
"On September 30, Cebu was struck by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake, leaving families displaced and communities in urgent need of food, water, and shelter. Asul, thru Celeste Cortesi and Jonathan Sterling, donated ₱5,000,000 in partnership with Angat Buhay Foundation @angatbuhay to aid relief operations on the ground — from hygiene kits and food packs to cash aid and medical missions," the post on the brand's page read.
The donation aims to help in rebuilding efforts in Cebu after the recent calamity.
"Angat Buhay focuses on sustainable, non-cash assistance — from mobilizing medical missions and distributing hygiene kits to providing shelter repair kits, building classrooms, and even clinics for long-term community rehabilitation. Through this partnership, Asul Cares hope to not only respond to immediate needs but also help rebuild stronger, more resilient communities," the post added.
Following the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Davao Oriental on Friday, October 10, Celeste also donated to the Philippine Red Cross to support affected families.
"In response, Celeste Cortesi and Jonathan Sterling, together with Asul, have extended support of ₱5,000,000 through the Philippine Red Cross @philredcross to help rescue and relief efforts in Davao. Let’s continue standing together for our countrymen," the post on the Asul page read.
"You can help by supporting ongoing rescue and relief operations through trusted organizations like the Philippine Red Cross. Donations, no matter the amount, go toward providing food, clean water, medical assistance, and temporary shelters for affected families," the post added.
Celeste launched Asul in October 2024. "Actually, guys, I've been working on this for already two years, right after Miss Universe," she shared in a past interview with PEP. "I'm so so proud that it's finally happening. And I just love it so much."
