Social media personality and content creator Macoy Dubs responded with humor after a netizen suggested replacing him as one of the hosts of the hit podcast show, Dogshow Divas.
On Facebook, Macoy poked fun at the comment, explaining that his recent absence from several episodes was simply due to his busy schedule, which allowed former beauty queen and content creator Joy Barcoma to temporarily join Baus Rufo as guest host.

Pero yes, more flavors, more fun. Give ko yan sa’yo Redditor. Mabait ako eh. 😇,” Macoy quipped.
Macoy added that he did not take the comment personally and was simply amused by the situation.
“Natatawa kasi ako na ginagawan niyo kami ng issue ng sissy ko, eh parehas kaming busy at inaabot ang mga bituin para sa careers namin. Di ako patolera madalas pero GIBBSNIBS, whoever you are, wherever you are, eat well! 💙,” he said.
He also reminded viewers that genuine support means wishing everyone involved in the podcast well.
“And yes, ano man maging tahakin ng DSD, support lang kayo, dahil ang totoong taga supporta, hindi mag-wiwish ng hindi maganda. Ganen! ☝🏼”
In the comments section, Macoy further urged fans not to direct negativity toward the show's guest hosts.
“Guys, dinodogshow ko si Redditor sa post na to. Wag kayo mag ill-will sa guest hosts. Ang akin, kung talagang supporter kayo, mag wish ng maganda sa lahat. Yun lang naman,” he stated.
Macoy’s post stemmed from a Reddit post by user gibbsnibs, who suggested that Joy become Baus's permanent co-host after binge-watching several episodes of Dogshow Divas.
“Halos buong linggo ako nag-bi-binge watch ng DSD episodes and can I just say, pinaka-enjoy si Baus kapag kasama si Joy. Kaya tingin ko it's time na palitan ang picture ni Baus at Macoy sa intro at ipalit si Joy. Tapos mga tih sobrang hysterical nung episode nina Baus, Joy, at Fonz!! Joy is a natural fit for the show talaga. Siya na lang dapat ang permanent co-host ni Baus,” the user posted.
Former Miss Earth Philippines Joy, however, was quick to dismiss the idea that she was replacing Macoy.
“I was never meant to replace Mama Macoy. Iisa lang yan siya and sila ang OG Dogshow Divas.”
She also called out comments that pit personalities against one another: “People are way too comfortable bringing other people down. Sana masaya kayo sa life and career because we (Baus, Macoy, Tuesday) all are. 🤍.”
Baus echoed Joy's sentiments, saying support for one host should never come at the expense of another.
“Love you. Hate directed to any of us disguised as support for the others is equally problematic. Basta nasabi na namin ni Macoy sa inyo ni Tuesday na part na kayo ng DDS fam,” he replied.
He also took to Facebook to express his appreciation for Macoy, emphasizing the work he does behind the scenes despite his packed schedule.
“Mahal kita, sis. Never nilang makikita how involved you are sa operations kahit nasa taping ka ❤️ BUT ALSO, the Joy and Tuesday slander disguised as love for the original duo is 🤡.”
The hosts of Doghow Divas are known for their playful takes on pop culture, relatable Filipino humor, meme-worthy moments, and witty takes on societal issues that sparked nostalgia, interest, and laughter among listeners. Hosted by Macoy and Baus, the show launched last year and became one of the top podcasts to watch and listen to online.
Recently, the show introduced Joy and comedian-actress Tuesday Vargas as guest hosts.
