Content creators and podcasters Baus Rufo and Macoy Dubs recently had a full-circle moment after being joined by actress Charo Santos in recreating her viral opening line from the Kapamilya anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya.
On the Dogshow Divas podcast’s social media pages, the duo shared behind-the-scenes moments from their collaboration with Charo, including their playful reenactment of her iconic opening line referencing a “call girl.”
“NAKA-EKSENA NAMIN SI MA’AM CHARO! Ugang-uga kami but she was the absolute best! Warm, gracious and a real class act 🥹 WE LABYU MA SALAMAT SA CLOUT,” said in the post.
Macoy and Baus also recreated the popular “Spider-Man meme” with Charo, with all three dressed in outfits inspired by the Kapamilya star.
In the video posted on Charo’s social media account, Macoy was first seen reenacting her iconic opening line before being interrupted by Baus, who played the role of the director.
“Prosti. Call Girl. Kalapating mababa ang lipad. Ano ba naman ‘yan Direk?” Macoy said acting like Charo.
“Cut! Parang hindi natin nakuha ang true essence ng isang Charo Santos,” Baus responded.
“Ganoon ba? Paano ba dapat??
“Ganito kasi. Panoorin mo ako! Prosti. Call girl. Kalapating mababa ang lipad,” Baus said as he shifted into another Charo impersonation.
Still unconvinced, Macoy turned to their special guest. “Parang hindi pa rin eh. Ikaw, Ma’am? Ano sa tingin mo?”
Charo then appeared and demonstrated how the opening line was “originally” delivered, prompting the three to take turns saying the line and turning the scene into a collaborative performance.
“Oh my God! It was so good! Grabe! I really felt that. Taray!” the two exclaimed with Charo giving them a sneer.
Charo shared the video on her own social media account, captioning it:: “The bastion of collabs. Masasabi ko nang I've made it with @macoydubs and @bausrufo . ✨️😍🙌 #CharoSantos #dogshowdivas.”
The collaboration quickly went viral, garnering over one million views on TikTok and more than 512 thousand views on Instagram, with netizens and fellow celebrities reacting with laughter and praise.

Film and television director Mae Cruz Alviar also commented. “🤣🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥 lahveeeet!!!”
