The Viva Hot Babes made a rare and long-awaited reunion to back Ella V’s latest business venture in Marikina City, “Aura Wellness & Spa”.
While the girl group stayed close over the years and kept in touch through their group chat, conflicting schedules often made it hard for plans to materialize.
“Di ako makasalita. Totoo ba to? Ang hirap nila hahilapin, and Andrea del Rosario. Lalo na si Katya. It is still surreal. Lahat ng bagay nangyare feel ko meron reason— step by the step,” Ella V said in an interview during the establishment’s media launch in Marikina City, Saturday.
“Matinding planuhan to. Busy lahat. Nabubuo pag biglaan. It is nice everybody made time for Ella,” Santos added.
The love overdue gathering was made possible after Ella V, who is now based in the United States, returned to the Philippines to launch the wellness brand.
“My sister and I wanted to create a holistic approach. We created this aura vibe cause we believe in self care, we are hard working people. When we have problems, you want to treat people the best. Aura gives a unique way to celebrate yourself,” said Ella V. “Actually we are selling holistic approach of Aura. It is a good vibe— if you want to relax, self care.“
The members tried the brand’s latest offering, the warm serum, which is a topical formulation they described as a “spa in a bottle.”
“It is so smooth on the skin, smell, sight, touch, experience in a bottle parang vacation,” Del Rosario said.
“It is a mood enhancer, if you want to feel sexy, relaxed. Spiritual, that is the best way. It can be a normal candle to set the mood, if you put it on your skin,” Katya said.
Apart from Aura’s holistic offering, the members, still glowing after decades, the girl group credited self-love and intentional wellness as their secret.
“Love yourself. Always just be happy,” Maui Taylor explained.
“Beauty is the best revenge, mas lalo kami gumaganda,” del Rosario chimed in.
According to the women, who were still able to candidly perform their hit “Bulaklak”, they are open to reuniting on stage.
“Ipro-produce ni Ella V. Ngayon niya lang nalaman. Sa U.S, Boss Vic this is your sign,” Sheree joked.
