Kapamilya actress Xyriel Manabat revealed that Anne Curtis imparted something special to her without the latter even telling her about it. In the latest episode of Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast, the former child star recalled how it was like working with the It’s Showtime host and how she looks up to her.
Xyriel worked with Anne in the Philippine adaptation of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.

The Kapamilya star shared that an instance where she saw the humility of Anne struck with her that it became a reminder for her everyday. She recalled how they were at a set location and they had to share a dressing room.
Xyriel shared how she fell asleep while Anne and her team were talking with each other.
“So backpack lang kami doon so share kami ng room ni ate Anne. Insomniac nga ako tapos sa taping doon ako nakakahanap ng pahinga or tulog, siguro yun rin yung way ko mag escape sa hiya or sa anxiety. Tulog ako tapos siyempre ate Anne na yun–– Anne Curtis na yun–– pinapatahimik niya yung team niya,” she recalled.
She added how shocked she was hearing the Kapamilya actress tell her team to be quiet because of her. She jokingly expressed how she was already awake, but tried to sleep again as she felt shy.
It was that moment that Xyriel expressed how Anne was also observant of others around her and made sure everyone’s okay.
“Pag uwi ko, bitbit ko yun… Tumatak siya sa utak ko na grabe no, si ate Anne may pakialam pa rin siya sa paligid niya kahit siya na yun. Eh yung ibang tao nga, walang pakialam kung may nagpapahinga–– magpapatugtog, mag sisigaw, or kahit nandiyan sa gilid mo may nag papahinga, ang ligalig. Ang insensitive at hindi marunong makiramdam,” she expressed.

She maintained how humble Anne is despite the fame and status that she has–– something Xyriel experienced first hand.
“Grabe yung humility. Yun yung mauuwi ko from ate Anne na hindi niya kailangan i-impose sa’yo. Hindi niya kailangan sabihin out loud or ituro sa’yo or ichat sa’yo, makikita mo lang based from your observation and first hand mo siya maeexperience kung gaano ka-humble si ate Anne,” she said.
“Kahit yung may pinaka may karapatang mag diva, grabe yung humility. Wala siyang ere. Yung iba kaya ng paliparin yung hot air balloon sa ere, siya wala talaga,” she ended.
