MANILA — Blessings are pouring non-stop for comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto as she adds another endorsement in her comeback era in showbiz.
Rufa Mae joins China Cojuangco and Chef Gino Gonzales as the newest ambassadors of TBL Clinic in Makati.
At this point, Rufa Mae said she’s enjoying her stint in ABS-CBN’s show ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ and is also working on a vertical-format project with Cignal TV. But what excites her the most is her upcoming reunion with director Joyce Bernal.
“May movie kami ni Joyce Bernal, yung movie pang next year. Pero sisimulan na namin, sinulat na namin ito ni Alessandra de Rossi. Spring films, si Piolo Pascual din ang kapartner.”
Bernal has been in hiatus since the pandemic and this will be her comeback project.
“Kausap ko siya sabi ko napakaswerte ko naman. Ako ang pinili mo. Kasi sabi niya, nung tinanong kita may na-feel siya. Kami ang magkasama sa ‘Booba’, ‘Masikip sa Dibdib’ at ‘Super B’. Lahat ng mga movies niya, lagi niya ako ang kasama kasi lucky charm daw niya ako dati.”
She added, “I grew up with her. Kasi sabay kami niya, halos magkasing-edad kami niyan eh.”
“Hindi ko makukuha yung genre ng joke pag hindi siya. At siya rin, kaya siguro namiss niya rin,” said Quinto.
She also recorded a Christmas song with her colleague in ‘Your Face’, Dia Mate.
“Plano ko lang pero siya na nagplano. Siya nag-ayos ng lahat. Kinuha niya ako na mag-collab, I’m so grateful talaga.”
Lately, she’s been enjoying working with these young and fresh blood of talents - on and off cam. “Lahat ng kasama ko ngayon super bagets talaga, maganda yun kasi hindi ako forgets. Masaya ako kasi ate nang ate, nagkaroon ako ng inspirasyon din.”
And if that’s not enough, she’s also set to host a radio show this Friday.
Booked and busy, Rufa Mae said “I offer this sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta sa akin. Lahat po kahit hindi ko followers na maganda po ang sinasabi at pinapanood ako, kaya gusto kong magpasalamat.”
