MANILA -- Singer-songwriter Davey Langit has passed away, his wife confirmed Wednesday.
Therese Villarante-Langit shared the sad news through a social media post as she paid tribute to her husband, saying he "loved life more than anyone I've ever met."
She added that her husband "fought fiercely 'til the very end" until he passed away on Tuesday, October 21.
"He felt so loved by you all these past few days. Thank you for filling his heart with so much gratitude, community, and hope," she said of Langit, who was earlier revealed to have a rare spinal infection.
Villarante-Langit went on to announce details of her husband's memorial from October 23 to 26 at the Phoenix Memorial Chapels & Crematory in Santa Rosa, Laguna, and at St. Peter Urdaneta from October 27 to 29.
"Thank you for being part of Davey’s life. He loved each and every one of you," she ended.
Langit started his music career in 2006 as part of "Pinoy Dream Academy" season 1.
In 2016, his song "Dalawang Letra" won at the Himig Handog P-pop Love Songs.
