Jak Roberto opened up about his growing closeness with Kylie Padilla.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Jak shared that he and Kylie have become more comfortable working together after their previous project. The two recently reunited for a new show.
"We are so comfortable with each other po kasi... Kumbaga natuwa ako sa kanya katrabaho dahil she is so open sa mga eksena. Wala na siyang mga walls and inhibitions... Masarap kausap, marami siyang gustong ipaglaban, marami siyang mga gustong gawin and i-discover," he explained.
When asked if he plans to court Kylie, Jak admitted, "Hindi siya mahirap mahalin. Napaka-open niya, genuine. Nakapakatilinong kausap so for me wala naman sigurong guy na hindi mai-in love sa kanya dahil ganun siya ka genuine na tao.”
However, Jak clarified that he wants to prioritize their friendship for now. "Kung bibigyan ako ng chance, siguro hindi pa ngayon kasi gusto kong ingatan kung anong meron kami ngayon na bilang close na magkaibigan," he said.
On why their friendship is a priority at the moment, he replied: "First time ko kasing magkaroon ng girl best friend if ever. Parang ganun na kasi treatment ko sa kanya."
In the same interview, Jak also addressed whether he has reconnected with his ex-girlfriend, Barbie Forteza, after their breakup.
The actor shared that they had the chance to talk to her during GMA's 75th anniversary gala. "Kami one time pa lang kami nakapag-usap after nung breakup. Nung 75th [anniversary], nakita ko siya sa likuran ko, and after nung wala na siyang kausap, nagbabasa siya ng script that time, sabi ko magha-hi lang ako," he said.
Jak said they congratulated each other on their respective projects and that the encounter gave him a sense of relief. "For me gumaan 'yung pakiramdam ko na meron akong lakas ng loob para makipagusap sa kanya. Naging closure siya for me," he remarked.
It was on January 2 when Barbie announced her breakup with Jak.
"Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love," she wrote on Instagram at that time. "I am excited for what's to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve."
