MANILA -- After consistent courtship, content creator Donnalyn Bartolome finally announced that JM de Guzman is now her boyfriend.
In a lengthy social media post on Saturday, Bartolome recalled how De Guzman awakened the love she thought she would not give again.
"I thought we were only going to be friends. I was almost certain.. If everyone knew in detail how I felt, and everything that transpired, you’d feel the same, but the stars had something else written in them and during our exclusively dating phase, we assured each other promise rings, linked to the first promise we’d made to each other—a pinky kind for when we’re finally ready to be officially in a relationship," she said in her post.

Bartolome also acknowledged the effort of De Guzman for over a year and a half, and showed her the meaning of real love.
"His determination caused him to persist… until one day I just could no longer resist. He awakened the love I didn’t know I still had to give to someone again ever, and even though I no longer believe in forever…I believe in Now," she said.
According to Bartolome, De Guzman won her heart over after not believing in the meaning of love for a long time.
"Spell it backwards and that’s what he has done, the match to capture my heart, I declare out loud: Juan Miguel won," she said.
In October of 2022, Bartolome threw a surprise birthday party for de Guzman, prompting the actor to say that whoever her boyfriend would be is one lucky guy.
