MANILA — Myla Pablo is happy to have spent a decade in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
Pablo—who turned 33 on September 12—was among the first players to become a PVL champion, winning the inaugural championship with Pocari in the 2017 Reinforced Conference. She also claimed the Finals MVP plum that same tourney.
Fast forward, the National University (NU) product has added more awards and titles to her collection, including two PVL Conference MVP honors and, most recently, championships with the now-defunct Petro Gazz Angels.
Pablo is grateful to have been able to play the sport she loves, thankful for the opportunities that have allowed her to continue her career.
"Oo nga eh, 10 years na pala ako sa PVL, kaya I'm really happy na nandito pa rin ako, and may team pa rin ako, and healthy pa rin ako as of now," said Pablo. "And I'm really happy na andyan pa rin 'yung mga teammates ko, and also 'yung bagong team ko, the Nxled Chameleons."

Pablo said staying fit is one of her biggest goals as she looks to further extend her career.
She credited her discipline, along with the help of her strength and conditioning coach, Aldo Panlilio, the husband of fellow volleyball player Michele Gumabao.
Kaya nga, as of now talaga, mas iniingatan ko 'yung sarili ko ngayon."
