MANILA — PLDT ace Savi Davison is thrilled as she sees a more competitive field in the 2026 PVL Invitational Conference.
Entering as the reigning MVP and reigning champion, Davison shared that she is fired up, excited to see what they can do this tournament despite some humps along the way such as “not regularly playing together.”
The Fil-Canadian star dropped a 30-point masterpiece over EST Cola for a 25-23, 25-15, 26-28, 25-14 victory, Monday at the Araneta Coliseum.
“It's hard because we haven't been able to play as regularly as I feel like we want to. So, actually fighting for something as reigning champions or if not, it's still exciting to fight to win,” said Davison.

“And I'm just happy to be in more competitive environment now than we have been lately. So, I'm just excited to see what we do next.”
While the Thai side had fiery third-set comeback against the High Speed Hitters, it just unleashed the competitive side of Davison, who also acknowledged the role of her teammates.
“I just love to compete. I love being in hard situations and I'm so glad that I have people on the court to support me in that way,” she said.
“I wouldn't be able to, you know, kind of forget or move on from my own errors if my team wasn't so compassionate to me. So, I can't thank them enough for, you know, being that support system that I have and allowing me to kind of bounce back.”
