The Foxies turned back Ho Chi Minh City, 25-14, 25-15, 26-28, 25-20, to enter the win column of the week-long tourney on Monday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
"Today’s game was a fantastic game. I appreciate the Ho Chi Minh team. We already saw this Ho Chi Minh team last month when we participated in the Taiwan games," said coach Koji Tsuzurabara during the postgame press conference, looking back when they scouted the squad in the Formosa Women's Invitational.
"They have a high-level and good system from their junior to senior team. Their system should be learned by Philippine volleyball," he added.

PVL MVP Trisha Tubu delivered 25 points on 24 attacks, while rookie Jonna Perdido, playing ahead of her years, had 17 points including 16 attacks.
Veterans Riri Meneses and Ces Molina had 12 points each, as Louie Romero pulled the strings with 24 excellent sets.

Farm Fresh dominated in all scoring aspects against the young visiting team — 70-54 in attacks, 10-6 in blocks, and 4-0 in service aces.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Anh Phuong had 13 points, as Dang Thi Kim Thanh and Dao Thi Nung had 12 each as the Vietnamese crew fell to a 0-1 card.
