KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Mark Anthony "Bob" Urbina stole the spotlight at the Asia Pacific Predator League, securing the Intel MVP honors in the Dota 2 event held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) last Sunday.
Bob took charge in Myth Avenue Gaming's (MAG) conquest of the Predator Shield alongside fellow Pinoy James "Erice" Guerra.
The 24-year-old standout could not hide his happiness as he was crowned the best player in the tournament by tech giant Acer.
"Siyempre, masaya kasi parang dalawang Predator (League), 2nd place kami nung Execration pa ako. Tapos ngayon nag-champion tapos MVP pa kaya 'yun, masaya," he told Philippine media during the event.

It did not come to them the slightest that MAG would win it all, as they were losing scrims against other teams, Bob shared.
"'Di rin namin ine-expect na magcha-champion kami kasi 'yung mga scrims namin, practice namin puro kami talo," he said.

But his almost clean 9-1-14 kill-death-assist performance on Puck in Game 1, and a decent 7-3-10 outing on the Pangolier helped the Malaysian squad defend home turf--although that run allowed him to shine among all players.
Notably, it was also Bob's crew which ousted Pinoy team Ivory during the semifinals.
In an earlier interview with ABS-CBN News, Bob shared that he wanted to be the best mid-laner in the world.

Although the journey is still far, this puts the Filipino pride closer to that dream.
Meanwhile, Erice was also elated as he lifted the Predator Shield. Both also expressed desire in staying with MAG for future qualifiers.
"Sobrang saya, tsaka makakatulong 'to para sa mga susunod naming mga laro. Tsaka sobrang gandang experience," said Erice.
