MANILA — Basketball legends Jason Kidd and Lauren Jackson will be gracing the first-ever NBA House Philippines, scheduled for August 29 to 30 at One Ayala in Makati City.
The NBA House Philippines will be featuring 2,700 square meters of interactive basketball and pop culture activities, including meet and greet appearances by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer member and former WNBA champion.
Live musical performances will also be held, to be led by the Sacramento Kings Dancers.
Basketball skills challenges, merchandise giveaways, photo installations, and a game zone where fans can play the NBA 2K27 video game will be installed as well — a promising two-day celebration of the sport.
“NBA House Philippines presented by Gatorade will be a celebration of basketball, entertainment and music, featuring an exciting lineup of NBA and WNBA legends, local artists and authentic NBA experiences,” said NBA Head of Southeast Asia and Asia Marketing Sheila Rasu.
Kidd helped lead the Mavericks to an NBA championship in 2011, their first NBA title in the franchise’s history. Across 19 seasons, he earned 10 NBA All-Star selections, six All-NBA Team selections, nine NBA All-Defensive Team selections, five assist titles, and was named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
Jackson was selected 1st overall in the 2001 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm where she went on to win the WNBA championship in 2004 and 2010.
During her 12-year WNBA career, she earned a WNBA Finals MVP Award, three WNBA MVP Awards, eight All-WNBA Team selections, five All-WNBA Defensive Team selections, seven WNBA All-Star selections, three scoring titles and one rebounding title, a WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award and selections to the WNBA’s 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th Anniversary Teams.
